Regulation enforcement cracks the whip on dodgy .UK domain names – and it’s working-mycyberbase



The choice of .UK domains which were suspended following notifications from police and different regulation enforcement businesses has lowered considerably during the last 12 months, experiences say.

In keeping with domain registry Nominet, the choice of suspended .UK domains getting used for felony actions has lowered from 22,158 closing 12 months to a few,434 in 2021. The drop was once brought about largely through a discount in counterfeit websites choosing .UK domain names, as reported through the Police Highbrow Belongings Crime Unit (PIPCU).
