Program teaches problem-solving to newcomer students

Supporting Transition Resilience of Newcomer Groups, a 10-session program known as STRONG that teaches problem-solving to newcomer students such as immigrants and refugees, is being used in schools throughout the US. The program is showing promise in part because of its focus on strengths and the possibility that it will help kids develop effective coping skills and prevent more severe mental health issues.
