High school employs students to fill staffing gaps


Wayzata High School in the Minneapolis suburbs turned to students to fill staffing gaps in the food services department, building on the success of previous student involvement in managing social media accounts. About 25 students were hired to work in the cafeteria, earning the same wage as adults and course credit while gaining valuable project management and interpersonal skills.
