Districts may not spend all COVID-19 funds

An analysis by Edunomics Lab, a research center at Georgetown University, reveals a state-by-state list of school districts that may not spend all their federal COVID-19 emergency funding by the 2024-25 school year expiration. The analysis suggests that state education agencies and communities should follow up with these districts to understand the slow spending and create plans to ensure the effective use of these one-time funds, with over 150 districts in New York showing potential risk.
