Cursive added to Calif. curriculum under new law

Schools in California will resume teaching cursive to students in the 2024-25 school year under a new law, with advocates saying the skill not only enables students to sign their names and read old documents but can also be beneficial to students with learning disabilities. Learning cursive can give students with dyslexia a boost with writing and reading, some occupational therapists say, and can help improve their focus.
