Fifth-grade students at Hickory Grove Elementary School in Brookville, Pa., recently took a field trip to the Jefferson County History Society, where they participated in various activities at a local cemetery. Eric Armstrong, president of the history organization’s board, praised the students’ enthusiasm for helping him use toothbrushes and cleaner to restore the appearance of headstones, something that had some students wanting to return to continue the process.
